Your engine is one of, if not the most important major component of your car. Without it working in good order, it's impossible for you to go anywhere. If it runs inefficiently, you may face a whole host of problems that can be avoided with relatively simple maintenance. At Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. we provide all of the expertise and parts needed to keep your engine running happily and at peak efficiency.
Oil Changes
One of the simplest ways to determine the condition of your engine is to examine the oil that drains out during an oil change. The oil circulates through much of your engine, so it's a great way to determine the overall health of your car's power plant. Ideally, we want your oil to be darker than when it went in with uniform viscosity and no solid particles. Solid particles are a major concern because they mean that something inside the engine, be it a seal or anything else, is breaking apart. Engines contain a lot of finely balanced mechanisms with only a few micrometers of space for moving parts to clear each other. Any solid particles moving through your engine can cause a massive amount of damage very quickly. At Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. we perform expert analysis on your oil to make sure that everything is working perfectly within your engine's internals, and we carry the best oils to replace that fluid in your vehicle.
Engine Coolant
Another simple item that can save your engine untold misery, is the coolant fluid, which keeps everything running at the correct temperature. The many moving parts inside your engine, as well as the explosions taking place within its combustion chambers, generate a significant amount of heat. As with any machine, your engine has temperature tolerances at which it happily operates. Once those tolerances are exceeded, things can start to go wrong. A common side effect of overheating can be radiator failure. The water that cools the engine becomes heated and pressurizes the radiator past a safe level causing the scalding water to spray out. This dangerous problem can be avoided with the engine coolants used by Beiler's Auto Repair Inc..
Filters
To work efficiently, your car's engine needs the ingredients for combustion to be delivered in the purest form possible. To this end your engine contains a number of filters which keep everything nice and clean. Beiler's Auto Repair Inc.'s engine thorough maintenance keeps checks on your air, oil, and fuel filters, replacing them as needed to keep your car running at its highest efficiency.
Fuel Injector Cleaning
Working alongside your spark plugs are the injectors that shoot a precise amount of fuel into the combustion chamber. Over time these injectors can become clogged with contaminants from fuel. Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. carries a line of specially developed injector cleaning solutions which open the injector tubing back up and get your car back to making the most power that it can.
Accessory Belts
Engine accessories such as the alternator and air conditioning compressor rely on belts that take power from the engine to run them. Over time, these belts can become frayed and damaged. If your alternator belt snaps, for example, your engine won't be able to generate the electricity it needs to charge the battery and keep itself running. Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. can keep a close eye on the health of your accessory belts and ensure that all your engine's pulleys are lined up perfectly to allow for the maximum amount of use from your belts.
Check Engine Light
No one likes to see their car's "Check Engine" light come on. The light could mean a costly problem, like a bad catalytic converter, or it could be something minor, like a loose gas cap. At Beiler's Auto Repair Inc., we can pull the code and diagnose the problem for you. Give us a call at 941-377-0141 or stop by the shop for our expert assistance.
Diesel
Although diesel engines don't require tune-ups and tend to last longer than gasoline engines, they do require regular maintenance. Typical maintenance tasks include:
- Changing the oil & filter
- Changing the air filter
- Changing the fuel filter
- Bleeding the fuel system
- Draining the water separators
- Refilling the urea injection system
You can count on the experts at Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. to help your diesel engine last a long time.
Fuel Injection
Fuel injection is a system for admitting fuel into an engine. Since 1990, fuel injectors have completely replaced carburetors as the primary means of getting gasoline into the engine. A fuel injector atomizes the fuel by forcibly pumping it through a small nozzle (under high pressure). Failure of the fuel injection system means poor performance and ultimately destroys the engine. Make sure your vehicle's fuel injection system is maintained properly. For all your fuel injection maintenance and replacement needs, call 941-377-0141 or visit Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. today.
Ignition
An ignition system is a system for igniting (using an electric spark) a mixture of fuel and air in a gasoline engine. A properly working ignition system means a properly starting engine and high performance from your car. For all your ignition system maintenance and replacement needs, call or visit Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. today.
Ignition Wires & Cables
Ignition cables also known as spark plug wires are an important part of your car's ignition system. They transfer the spark from the ignition coil to spark plugs that ignite the mixture of fuel and air. The mixture starts the engine. Over time, ignition wires and cables get weak and break down. This makes it impossible for the spark to reach the engine cylinders. This results in the engine misfiring. The car will eventually fail to start. If it does start, it will run poorly. Common symptoms of faulty ignition cables and wires are: poor gas mileage, engine misfires, engine light is on, and engine may vibrate. If your car needs new ignition cables and wires, call or visit Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. in Sarasota, FL 34232. Here, you will have the wires and cables changed by a top-rated mechanic.
Oil, Lube, and Filter
To keep running smoothly, your car highly relies on oil, lube, and oil filters. Oil helps in lubricating, cooling, and cleaning the internal engine components. With time, motor oil becomes contaminated. Your car needs an oil, lube, and filter change every three months (or 3,000 miles). When it is time for a lube, oil, or filter change, take your vehicle to Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. in Sarasota, FL 34232.
Spark Plugs
A spark plug delivers electric current to the combustion chamber from the ignition system. Spark plugs that haven't been changed for a long time can cause ignition problems. At Beiler's Auto Repair Inc., we have automotive experts who will check and replace your spark plugs. For all your spark plug repair or replacement needs, call 941-377-0141 or visit Beiler's Auto Repair Inc. today.

I am absolutely helpless when it comes to cars. But after taking my car to the service department of the dealership I got it from multiple times over 2 years, I was fed up. I'd been bringing it to them for regular 5k oil changes, and repeatedly told them that the engine (or so I thought) was incredibly loud, and the steering column rattled when breaking. The slip indicator light came on randomly. I was ignored every time, and made to wait ridiculous hours for minor things, like changing a tire. So I found this place based off the great reviews across all platforms, and I am SO happy I did. I couldn't find anyone who would fit me in the week I called, and most places weren't open after Hurricane Ian. But they were! The owner, Danny, answered the phone himself and was so nice and efficient about booking me an appointment just two days away. I even had a concern with one of my lights that he looked at for free that same day in case he needed to order a part. Every time I have come in, Danny has either been in the office or on call to come in. Stand up guy, refreshing to see a service place that has management that cares. I came in to drop off, and the Service Advisor, Chris, listened to my concerns and noticed a "clunk" when turning that even I hadn't really noticed all that often, as well as excessive play in the wheel. This had been noticed previously by my prior mechanic, but had been brushed off as "No big deal." She said it shouldn't matter if I'd been driving it with that for this long. Meanwhile, Chris offered to run diagnostics, and I was desperate to have someone tell me what was wrong, so I agreed. Turns out, there was a LOT wrong! The serpentine belt, the pinion (where the noise was coming from!), the battery, all things any real mechanic should have spotted. My prior mechanic made no effort to inform me of how dangerous my car was, or that any of these things could have been a problem. And they diagnosed this ALL without me having remembered to tell them about the indicator light. When I asked for pictures, they were able to bring the parts to me and show me the damage first hand! Wow! Driving out of that lot felt like I had bought a new car, it handled so differently. Better than it did when I bought it. I'm furious at my previous mechanic (Toyota of Pinellas Park, be ashamed!) for putting my life and the stability of my car at risk. The repairs weren't cheap, but I consulted with my dad (a prior race car mechanic) and he agreed they were giving me a fair price for labor and parts. They also offered multiple financing options, and went to great lengths to make sure I could afford these repairs to make my car safe again. Danny came back in just to help me get my financing settled. Oh, and the decorations in the lobby were so nice. Not your standard run down mechanic lobby. Anyway, tldr: Go here! Their service was so good, Chris, Danny, Mic, and everyone else at the shop were so nice and put up with my rambling and freaking out and constant calling, and they WILL fix your car even if no one else could figure it out! With a 2 day turnaround, no less! I'll be back in 5k!

what our customers say
I spoke to Mick over at Beiler's Auto Repair. I had a major brake issue. They were available to get me in the same day. Whereas I called other mechanics and they were a week scheduled out. Beiler's Auto Repair called me when they found some other issues with the car, and were very knowledgeable in explaining the problems. Very fair price excellent service highly recommend them!
My car just so happened to break down in this area, Beiler's is not my regular shop. I saw that they had great Google reviews so I gave them a chance. Let me just say, they did not disappoint! The team was fantastic at keeping me informed with what's going on with my car. My car needed major work and had to be at the shop for an extended amount of time, they gave me a loaner car to use at a very very cheap price so that I didn't have to pay for a rental the whole time. They made everything as smooth as possible for me and worked with my difficult work schedule. Then when I got my car back, they had even cleaned the interior and exterior! I couldn't believe it! I've never had such high grade service from a repair shop! Definitely recommend and will be going back!
